Overview
The H-shaped layout, slightly skewed to favor sunlight and the connection between the interior areas and the enclosed terrace, houses the main circulations of the residence. The intentional transparency of this junction then creates a harmonious relationship between the entrance and the domesticated landscape of the rear terrace.
Located on a steep plateau, on the edge of Lake Saint-Amour, Le Clos des Merises exudes its private character from the very approach. The two white volumes, freely composed and inspired by the formal archetype of the traditional house, become a deliberately austere canvas on which the shadows of deciduous and coniferous trees are projected.
